UPDATE: I've posted the plans for the mudroom bench here and the video tutorial for the boot storage conversion here. Check them out too!
Happy Friday!!!
What a nice suprise to see this article on Yahoo News this morning!
I remember just five years ago getting some pretty odd looks pushing a lumber cart full of boards through The Home Depot, toddler in tow. Much has changed - these days, the lumber aisles are full of men and women, with or without kids, loading up wood for projects. And I can't wait for the day when a baby seat is added to those lumber carts! Building is for everyone, creativity is for everyone!
And just in case you don't have a project yet, I'm adding a new one to the plan catalog for you today.
Cubby storage shelves for the wall!
I love that these cubbies put mittens and hats and mail and other accessories right where you need them. They hold a ton, and because of the small size of each cubby, it's easy to keep everything reasonably organized.
I'll be sharing the plans for that built-in mudroom bench soon. Since you all are my friends, I'll give you a sneak peek at the hidden boot storage -
Also known as Hide-and-Seek favorite spot #1.
Plans for the wall cubbies follow (there's actually two cubby units shown on the wall with a 1x6 with hooks below). If this is the homepage, you'll need to click Read More below to get to the plans.
Have an awesome weekend!

PS - Love the stain color?
It's my trusty favorite - Rustoleum Early American.
